Our Operations Director, Harinder Sangha, won the prestigious title at the games industry’s 2021 GI.Biz Best Places to Work awards

Harinder, who started her Sumo Leamington journey in 2019, beat competition from five international brands including PlayStation and Rare to be crowned ‘Best Boss’ at the awards which took place virtually this week.

Born in Leamington and now living in Nottingham, Harinder also contributes to the wider games industry, as she sits on the Board for both Women in Games and Ukie (the UK games industry trade body) and was listed by GI.Biz in their 2019 list of Top 100 Most Influential Women.

On the award, Harinder said: “I’m incredibly thrilled to be accepting this award, and what an honour it is to even be listed among my fellow nominees, some incredibly inspiring people that I have a huge amount of respect for.

'I literally have the best job in the world – I get to bring together some of the most brilliant minds to create joy for the world, which over the last 18 months has been more important than ever."

Sumo Digital Managing Director, Gary Dunn, added: “We’re all incredibly proud of Harinder’s achievement and agree it couldn’t have gone to anyone more deserving. Her commitment to creating a safe, secure and enjoyable work environment for the team at Sumo Leamington is unparalleled and we’re very grateful for her hard work.

“She’s a credit to everyone at Sumo Digital and we’re thrilled that she’s received this award.”

Since our founding in March 2019, Sumo Leamington has also been the recipient of the Diversity Award and recognised as one of the Best Places to Work at the GI.Biz Best Places to Work Awards.
